The I Heart Cinema Presents: “HALLOWEEN on Halloween” Party
It’s the most wonderful time of the year (What, you thought that was Christmas? Silly pumpkin!) And what better way to celebrate Halloween by partying it up in your costume with you friendly, neighborhood movie website (that’s us) and watching the 35th anniversary rerelease of John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN on the big screen – the ultimate Horror film for the holiday of holidays! *Also playing before the film is a never-before-seen retrospective documentary on the making of the creepy classic.
This frightastic good time is going down at the historic and haunted Texas Theatre on Wednesday, October 31st, with the party kicking off at 7:00PM and the film rolling at 8:30PM sharp (Michael Myers wants us to put emphasis on the “sharp.”) With a performance from Savage and the Big Beat after the movie, DJ Casper spinning some spooky tracks in the lobby beforehand, a costume contest for killer prizes, Halloween-themed drink specials, some tricks, a few treats (bring a pillow case because we’re sending you home with tons of cinematic swag), and more, it’s going to be a night so fun it’s scary!
The party is free but the film is not. Luckily, you don’t have to pay with your life…it’s only $9.50 (or $8.00 if you’re a Texas Theatre member)! Visit the Texas Theatre‘s website for advance tickets, directions, etc. More details coming soon!
