Whathever you do… DON’T… FALL… ASLEEP. Wes Craven’s original A Nightmare on Elm Street comes to the Texas Theatre for a special socially distact/ limited capacity evening! This is the first 35mm Texas Theatre screening in over 7 months!  2 showtimes to choose from!
Prior to the screening of the film, see the world premiere of the ballet “I’m Your Boyfriend Now Nancy” featuring choreography by Emilie Skinner’s Outré Dance Project  (former Artistic Director of Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet).
I’m Your Boyfriend Now Nancy is set to a compilation of music pulled from the A Nightmare on Elm Street soundtrack, layered with recordings of the dancers voices, and mixed & mastered by Skinner. The ballet will be performed by Dallas-based dancers Tristan Rodney (as Glen), Whitney Weaver (as Nancy) and Lea Zablocki (as Tina). As always, Skinner promises a little fun, a little fear and lots of fake blood.
This program will mark the 6th year in a row that Skinner has partnered with the Texas Theatre to bring a Halloween dance/film collaborative event to the Oak Cliff community. Grab a mask and join us on October 24 to continue the tradition!
This is an INDOOR screening with extremely limited capacity of 100 people (16% of the Texas Theatre auditorium)  1 Ticket per person.
Show 1 – Ballet starts at 4, movie at 4:30
Show 2 – Ballet starts at 9, movie at 9:30.
