TNT Presents: THE AFTERMATH (1982) + EMPIRE OF THE DARK (1990) Double Feature!
Tuesday Night Trash and the Texas Theatre are honored to celebrate filmmaker Steve Barkett for creating these two cult classic films, which stand alone in the genre film pantheon for their innovation and reverence to action movies and creature feature classics of an era gone by. Barkett utilized the talents of actors like Sid Haig, Richard Harrison and Forrest J. Ackerman, bringing them to a new generation of movie-goers. His unique synthesis also employed techniques that many filmmakers in the ’80s and ’90s had cast aside as out-dated. The charm and sincerity of his films are what we at TNT hope to share by screening them with an intermission featuring a recorded interview with Steve Barkett, conducted by Ben Jousan (Tuesday Night Trash) and Lucas Spann aka “Cobra “(the patron saint of Radical Jack stunt fights). We humbly implore you to join us for this, a night unlike any other.
