TNT156: THE DIVINE ENFORCER

1/4 9:15 PM

“GOD FORGIVES, BUT I DON’T.”

The Divine Enforcer (1992) d. Robert Rundle. Starring Jim Brown, Erik Estrada, Judy Landers, Jan Michael-Vincent, Don Stroud, Robert Z’Dar, and Michael Foley as Father Daniel. Special appearance by Hiroko.

After learning of his penchant for extrajudicial killing – rather than excommunicating him and calling the police – Church officials transfer psychic Father Daniel (Michael Foley) to a new parish. Talk about implausible! Set loose on the mean streets of LA, Father Dan proceeds to kick, stab, and shoot his way through the underworld giving criminals “Choices”. Meanwhile another, non-ordained serial killer (journeyman Don Stroud) chews scenery and steadily adds to his collection or prostitute skulls. One expository scene is definitely edited out of sequence. TV’s Erik Estrada and a visibly wrecked Jan Michael Vincent sit around a kitchen table wearing priest costumes. Japanese popstar Hiroko performs her song “My Love’s Waiting” which we’re sure had nothing to do with her subsequent return to Japan. Sick, sleazy VHS-only madness for one night only! Free!
