The #214Selena event in Dallas pays homage to the legendary Queen of Tejano, Selena Quintanilla-Perez. Now in its fifth year, this celebration of the Mexican-American musical icon has grown into a signature series that honors the life and music of Selena. The tribute begins with a screening of the film at the Texas Theatre followed by an Art Show and Mural unveiling at Top Ten Records on Friday, March 30th
#214Selena aims to pay homage to one of the most impactful artists to the Latino community and highlight the resounding effect Quintanilla-Perez’ music has in modern culture. A pivotal figure in American society, the music of Selena continues to contribute to the fabric of everyday life in communities that go beyond Mexican diaspora in America and on to a global scale.
