CinéWilde presents “Mommie Dearest”
Halloween is coming, and CinéWilde is celebrating with the scarifying 1981 camp classic “Mommie Dearest”!
This infamous biographical melodrama is based on a 1978 tell-all book about Joan Crawford’s allegedly god-awful parenting. You’ll watch in horrified disbelief as Faye Dunaway chews through every bit of scenery in her over-the-top portrayal of Crawford, an aging and increasingly unhinged actress desperate for her children’s love and respect. Plus, you’ll finally learn why so many fans of this film laughingly quote the lines, “Bring me the axe!” and “NO. MORE. WIRE. HANGERRRRRS!!!”
Join us upstairs 30 minutes before the film for some ghost stories and s’mores around the campfire (yes, really). And after the film, stick around for some SCARY-OKE as “Karaoke Therapy” lets you sing your heart out!
8:30 p.m. – Ghost stories in the upstairs lobby
9:15 p.m. – Mommie Dearest
11 p.m. – SCARY-OKE with “Karaoke Therapy”
