Two insanely powerful forces of the Dallas cinema and comedy community are teaming for a special screening and a one night only riff of an Oscar winning cult classic.
The Mocky Horror Picture Show and the LGBTQ film series CinéWilde will hold a special screening of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at 8 pm on Friday, August 22nd. This special dual screening will feature Dallas’s only live, interactive, movie-mocking comedy show performing a hilarious riff of the film while you watch it in the theater!
The evening will also feature live comedy, filmed sketches and a special Priscilla inspired costume contest with prizes provided by Collected Comics of Haltom City and Fort Worth.
Mocky Horror features comedians Liz Barksdale, Danny Gallagher and Albie Robles perform a live riff of the movie written by the troupe and Stefan Newman. The screening will also have special prompts that appear on the screen so the audience can yell lines and use props to help them riff on the movie.
CinéWilde is Texas’ only monthly LGBTQ Film Series at the Texas Theatre in Oak Cliff with sensation.
