Join us for a night of beef, benefit, beer and birthday!! Mike Myers stars in the 1993 black comedy So I Married An Axe Murderer, which may or may not have influenced a few Austin Powers characters. Myers plays Charlie MacKenzie, a man afraid of commitment until he meets Harriet, who works at a butcher shop, and also who may be a serial killer. So naturally, we’ll have barbecue for sale in the lobby provided by not serial killers, Old Oak Cliff Barbecue. There will be raffle tickets for sale with prizes donated by local vendors and restaurants. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Oak Cliff Film Festival’s Student Filmmaking Workshop, which teaches local HS students the fundamentals of filmmaking.
Come celebrate a birthday of one our own all while taking in one of Phil Hartman’s final (and best) roles as Vickie the prison guard. And help a good cause in the process!!
