Mars Needs Women (1967) – 16mm

Spotlight on North Texas presents a special archive 16mm screening of Larry Buchanan’s Dallas-made cult classic “Mars Needs Women.”
Watch Martians navigate 1960s Dallas as they search for ideal mates in this campy low-budget sci-film starring Oak Cliff starlet Yvonne Craig (Batgirl). The screening is preceded by selection of never-before-seen archival footage donated by the Texas community and preserved by the Spotlight on North Texas media preservation project.

The first 50 guests will receive a free small popcorn and fountain drink. Also the screening itself is free!

The screening is followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Larry Buchanan’s son, Jeff Buchanan, and opportunities to win raffle prizes from The Texas Theatre and Top Ten Records.
