CinéWilde Presents – PARIAH

HAPPY NEW YEAR DALLAS!

New Year AND NEW CINÉWILDE! We are excited to announce that CinéWilde was awarded an Arts Activate grant from the Office of Arts and Culture! WHOO HOO! The next six months will be a “mini-season” where we’ll be beefing up our Pre-Show Discussions, expanding our Post Show events, and generally evolving the CinéWilde Brand.

To kick off this mini-season we are screening “Pariah”! Premiering at Sundance in 2011, “Pariah” impressed audiences with it’s striking cinematography and unapologetic exploring of a woman of color coming of age and exploring their sexuality, their worth, and their future.

Join us before the film as we talk with Chris Jacobson-Chism, Lead Pastor of The House of Dallas, a new House of Worship that is organically laying it’s roots in Dallas.

Stick around after the film for an exciting Open Mic featuring local performers of color, you our faithful CinéWilde audience, and a musical guest or two. The main character is “Pariah”, Alike (Lee), finds solace and freedom in her written word so we wanted to offer that to you after this screening!

We cannot wait to see you in a few weeks, celebrate the New Year, watch “Pariah”, and celebrate our Queer Siblings of Color!

CinéWilde is supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.
