Dallas’ only live, interactive, movie mocking comedy show is back at the Texas Theatre to riff on “Mac & Me,” the infamous 1988 family film about a lost alien who befriends a human boy that does to “E.T.” what Mr. T does to the fools he pities.
Now you can make fun of the movie in a theater without getting shushed or tasered by a movie usher. The Mocky Horror Picture Show features three comedians (Liz Barksdale, Danny Gallagher and Albie Robles) making fun of the movie on mics while you’re watching it. They also throw prompts on the screen so the audience can yell things and throw stuff at the screen at just the right time.
The Mocky Horror Picture Show is bringing back its live-riff of “Mac & Me” to the Texas Theatre at 9:15 pm on Thursday, Aug. 31 with all new riffs for the audience along with a few more surprises (now that they’ve upgraded their Adobe software subscription!)
