The Man Who Laughs with Live Score

The Man Who Laughs is the 1928 classic Victor Hugo adaptation wildly considered to be the visual inspiration for the supervillain The Joker. This classic melodrama tale told in the style of German Expressionism was directed by Paul Leni with horror overtones.

 

“When a proud noble refuses to kiss the hand of the despotic King James in 1690, he is cruelly executed and his son surgically disfigured.”

The film will feature a live score by “The Historic Orchestra” featuring composer Jason M Reimer (History at Our Disposal, Baptist Generals) Jesse Chandler (Midlake, Mercury Rev, Pneumatic Tubes)  Jeremy Buller (Bosque Brown) and Clay Stinnett (Ghostcar, History at Our Disposal, Hoaries)
