CinéWilde presents ‘Psycho Beach Party’

Surf’s up! And for our final summer romance we’re hanging 10 to the campy comedic horror “Psycho Beach Party.”

This stylish 2000 parody of set ’60s beach films and ’80s slasher flicks is set in 1962 Malibu Beach, where a young gal named Chicklet (Lauren Ambrose from “Six Feet Under”) is hanging with her bodacious beach buds until the bodies start dropping.

Who’s the killer? We won’t tell, but this hilarious (and raunchy) send-up includes a cast of well-known stars like Nicholas Brendon (“Buffy”), Amy Adams (“Man of Steel”), Thomas Gibson (“Dharma and Greg”) and Charles Busch, the author of the original Off-Broadway production of “Psycho Beach Party.”
