There are lots of treats coming your way this week including the CHELSEA WOLFE show and a 35MM screening of NIGHT OF THE VAMP FRIARS straight from the vault of VINEGAR SYNDROME as well as cult fav TETSUO with a show behind the screen. But at the very top of any cinephiles to-do list has to be catching the long-banned and out-of-print THE DEVILS finally restored in 4K in all its glory. This is epic 70's cinema with OLIVER REED at his upmost as the charismatic 17th century priest causing a wee-bit of hysteria in a French village. Absolutely required viewing for any serious cinema freak. In keeping with a hysterical theme, the British comedy LADY features a lonely aristocrat who is consumed with staying relevant while spinning entirely out of control. Recommended for fans of GREY GARDENS + FLEABAG. Our partnership with the folks at WILD DETECTIVES goes back to the origins of the TX Theatre as they were our first regulars and one of the first groups we hosted curated events from the community. Since then, there's an endless list of examples to what they've built including a new location right down the street from the flagship that just opened. The HAY FESTIVAL is an international arts and literature festival founded in WALES in 1988 for several years now, has become yet another cornucopia of offerings from the prolific Detectives. Do yourself a favor and take a look at this years offerings as they're once again vastly varied and live up to the hype that it's "Woodstock for the mind". Also... prove your friends wrong and see DIGGER before it's gone...- JR
