PATRICK SWAYZE CLEANS UP IN THE BAR BRAWL FAVE, “ROAD HOUSE.”

It’s the heat of summer and the perfect time to duck inside and stay cool. Like Patrick Swayze; who was and will always be the epitome of cool. See him go over the top in the ultimate bouncer-for-hire bar brawlaction flick, ROAD HOUSE. And there’s no better way to see it then by way of its 35mm theatrical release print! Co-Presented by Lone Star Beer and DoubleWide Bar! Stick around for a round house kick post party set by DJ DeadWax!

Spanning 30+ years of California Bay Area’s punk scene, TURN IT AROUND: THE STORY OF EAST BAY PUNK focuses on the emergence of 924 Gilman Street music collective, a DIY community space in Berkeley. Narrated by Iggy Pop and produced by Green Day, the documentary follows the history of the iconic venue, which includes helping launch 90s pop/punk revival bands Green DayOperation IvyRancidThe Offspring and others.

Also opening is LOOK & SEE: A PORTRAIT OF WENDELL BERRY, a film documenting the world as lensed through the works of the titular farmer, writer and activist. Executive produced by Terrence Malickand Robert Redford, the film is a beautiful and poignant portrait of the changing landscapes and shifting values of rural America in the era of industrial agriculture.

We’re thrilled to carry a second run of the Dallas-produced OCFF alum A GHOST STORY from local director, David Lowery and his Dallas-Fort Worth based crew. There’s been lots of debate on the minutiae of time travel with this one and we’ve got all the answers in the form of…

SPACEBALLS. A completely different type of otherworldly film, see the Mel Brooks‘ classic with Barf, LonesStarr, Yogurt and the whole team as they fight the unstoppable force of Dark Helmet and answer the unanswerable question, “When will then be now?

Finally, we carry over Albert Maysles’ final film, IN TRANSIT, and Jodorowsky‘s latest film, ENDLESS POETRY.
